Audi S3 for 2025 unveiled with upgraded torque splitter, increased power, and updated design from RS3 model

The 2025 Audi S3 is undergoing changes for its mid-cycle refresh, and it’s exciting news for those seeking more performance from the sporty sedan.

One major enhancement is the inclusion of the Torque Splitter from the RS3, providing true torque vectoring across the rear axle. Additionally, the S3 is receiving a power boost from its 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine. It will now deliver 328 horsepower and 310 pound-feet of torque, an increase of 23 and 15, respectively. The 0-62 mph time has also improved to 4.7 seconds. Audi attributes the added performance to revised engine and transmission tuning. A new “Dynamic Plus” drive mode has been introduced to maximize rear axle torque and activate the most aggressive settings for the Torque Splitter to induce rotation.

In terms of chassis enhancements, the S3 will feature stiffer bearings, new pivot bearings for increased negative wheel camber, an optimized progressive steering ratio, a re-tuned adaptive suspension system, and a new stability control system to complement the Torque Splitter’s functionality. The new S3 models will also come equipped with larger brakes and grippier tires wrapped around 19-inch wheels.

The exterior updates of the S3 align with the recently revealed A3 refresh, but with a sportier aesthetic. It boasts a new grille, bumpers, exhaust outlet, and color choices. Like the A3, the headlights are customizable with four different selectable light signatures. Audi has also introduced eye-catching color options such as District Green, Ascari Blue, Progressive Red, and Daytona Gray Matte.

The interior of the S3 mirrors the upgrades seen in the A3. It showcases a fresh shifter design, new air vents, enhanced ambient lighting, additional USB-C ports, and a wireless phone charger.

Details specific to the U.S. market, including pricing and the exact on-sale date, will be announced closer to the 2025 model year launch.
